Master Your Uniqueness

What is it?

Master Your Uniqueness involves the lifelong study, understanding and evolution of those things that you are truly exceptional at doing. These are the tasks that, when you are doing them, you are exhilarated, you love doing them; you are incredibly productive, the doing comes easily; you never tire of doing them, you see continuous improvement. This will still take time and practice. Many people don’t master their uniqueness because they don’t put in the practice.

According to Malcolm Gladwell in his best seller, Outliers: The Story of Success, to achieve mastery at your exceptional talents takes 10,000 hours.

Master Your Uniqueness is also about using your exceptional talents as the decision making criteria for everything you commit to in life that is worth doing.

Why is it important?

Master Your Uniqueness is critical to your self-actualization and to your personal productivity and success.  When you master your uniqueness, you improve the probability of achieving your full potential and, in doing so, lifelong joy and satisfaction in your work and activities, high productivity and rich rewards.

How do you do it?

First you discover your exceptional talents. Then you create the environment that allows you to stay in your talent zone so that you can achieve mastery. You do this, in part, by building exceptional teams that will fill in with their exceptional talents those areas that are not your strengths. And finally, you ensure that each person on your team has roles that are aligned with their talents.
