Investing in Emotional Intelligence for Businesses

We often feel that our IQ and competencies are what determines whether we will succeed in the workplace or not.  Yet, our underlying emotions are really providing the foundation necessary for our work skills to succeed.

You may be a master sales person, but what if you come to work after an argument, waiting for a doctor’s prognosis, or a failed presentation.  You’re feelings of anger, fear, or disappointment are going to affect your ability to perform.

To add to this, the workplace is traditionally one of the most emotionally “unsafe” environments.  You keep your emotions to yourself in order to maintain a professional image.  As you experience negative emotions, your productivity is hindered, and managers go unaware of the problem until it’s too late.

Few workplaces understand how to help their employees manage those times of emotion in the office.  The following programs are designed to give your teams and employees those skills.

1.  EQ Team Action Plan For Leaders

Before you can begin to make changes in the workplace you need to understand your team’s level of emotional intelligence.

Have you ever noticed  someone who often becomes loud and angry when things don’t go well?   Or someone who becomes quiet and detached in meetings?

The EQ Team Action Plan is a low cost and effective way to gain new insight into your team and decide if an investment in emotional intelligence upgrading is appropriate.  Each team member will take the online Emotional Intelligence assessment and receive their personal feedback report.  A BWLC consultant will prepare a profile of the entire team and schedule 2 hours to review the results and help you plan appropriate action.  The program provides;

  • A one-on-one debrief of the team leader’s Emotional Intelligence assessment
  • EI Assessments for each team member
  • Analysis of the EQ level of the team for strengths and weaknesses
  • Work with manager of team to create development plans with confidence for those who would like or need emotional intelligence coaching
